The formula maker lets you write a formula with the purity and weight of every material, and shows the total and each percentage as you type. You need a free account.
Steps
- Open Create a formula and give the formula a name.
- Add an ingredient by typing its name or CAS number.
- Enter the purity in percent and the weight in grams.
- If the purity is below 100%, choose the solvent the material is diluted in.
- Add more lines for the other materials.
- Write notes if you like, choose who can see the formula and press Save formula.
Weight and solvent
The weight is what goes on the scale, solvent included. A material at 10% in ethanol weighed at 30 g is one line at 30 g.
Public or private
- Public: everyone can see it, and it can appear on the pages of the ingredients it uses.
- Private: only you can see it. You can change this later from My formulas.
Names and notes are plain text. Links are not allowed. To change a saved formula, open it from My formulas and edit it.
